In the midst of a very busy week, we had a little girl turn FOUR!!! Wow! Is that possible? My BABY is 4?? This means she's NOT a baby anymore...& it might very well be time for another one! :0p (& NO! That was NOT an announcement. LOL!)
All my friend's list awesome things about their kids on their birthday's. Well...Meghan's a punk. lol But she's MY punk & I love her. I even call her "Punky". She has many names...Meggie Monster, crabby pants...you get my drift. Though she also goes by Megs & Snugglebug/Snugglebutt too. She is also very loveable. She tells me 10 times a day she loves me & will come up & hug me & kiss me for no reason. Though returning these gestures is on her terms only. lol Oh & another nickname..."Crash". Because she can't walk through the house without falling. She falls ALL. DAY. LONG. Bumps in to walls, falls sitting in a chair & getting dressed. She's even fallen off the toilet. So now you see why she has added the spice to our lives. Life would be boring without her!
Meghan LOVES going to school. She's in preschool 2 days a week & if she doesn't have school she calls me "meany mommy". So it's MY fault it's not Tuesday or Thursday? Punk!
Tuesdays are EXTRA special in her eyes because not only does she get to go to preschool...but she has BALLET that day too!! She is not yet graceful but she sure does love it. We're hoping the grace part kicks in eventually. ;0)
So how did the Birthday Girl celebrate this year? Well mommy thought long & hard on this & as much as I LOVE to & plan & have a party...I was rather indecisive this year. Meghan wanted to repeat her 1st birthday theme which was rubber ducks. So we did... But I'll save that for the next post.
Her actual Birthday fell during the week. On a Tuesday even! Making this past Tuesday even MORE special! So she got to celebrate at school with some chocolate chip muffins. Then we headed to the mall with my friend Tara & her little boy Britton. We grabbed some lunch & did a little shopping. Meghan got a couple little things from the Gap & some REALLY cute high top sneakers from H&M. They are pink with sequence! She LOVES them! :0) This was a very fitting way to spend her birthday seeing I spend half of my pregnancy with her...at the mall with Tara. lol
We then headed off to Ballet. Meghan wanted pizza for dinner so that's what she had. Then Daddy met us at Toys R Us so Megs could pick out her very own birthday present!! We walked around the whole store & the only thing that she wanted...and STILL wanted when we were going to leave is a big stuffed Pink dog! And a Ball. Man! This kid is EASY!!!
Shhh...Don't tell but her "big" gift is still in the basement until we find a place for it.
Then I took the girls to Baskin Robbins for dollar scoop night.
Then we headed home to sing "Happy Birthday" to Meghan...and had to repeat it several times AND relight the candles because her sister kept blowing them out on her. lol
I think we made her big day special. Though the following morning she informed us it was her birthday Again..."FOR REAL!!!"
